Hey everybody, did you hear! I'm the Time person of the year! It's true, but it was a tie. I tied for Time person of the year with George Bush, Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair, you and everyone else on the planet and in outer space. I think Time put a lot of thought into that one. Let's make Bill and his wife persons of the year, wait how about Phil and Diane, yeah but Tim and Jenny are pretty cool too, oh what the heck, lets make everyone persons of the year. O.K. now, it's Miller time. They must have gone to the office store and got one of those easy buttons! Let's see we don't want to offend anyone, we want to raise people's esteem, we want to be fair, we don't want anyone to loose...... Hit the button! Time to start thinking about the worst dressed women award.
Bye!
Thoughts, ideas, things on my mind. From the mind of a small town man who grew up in Northwest Ohio and now lives in Visalia, CA. Concerns and observations of our ever changing world. Whatever pops into my mind.

Invitations
I invited a few people to my Blog. I'm new at this and not sure hot it works, but it should be fun and maybe informative. I enjoy reading other blogs so I hope the ones I invite enjoy and use this blog. I will invite a few other family members later. Bye!
Finally December
It's finally December in Edgerton, Ohio. The air is crisp and cold. There's something really refreshing about the first month of cold weather. The only months I don't like in Northwest Ohio are January and August. January is sooooo long and cold and windy and August is so hot and muggy. Other than those two months, I can't think of a better place to live.

The Edgerton Experience
I'm gging to visit my Dad tonight. It's kind of bittersweet occation. I love my Dad and want to spend time with him, but he has Parkinson's disease and it's hard to see him that way. He was always such a strong and dominate individual all his life. Now he is frail and weak. He is being cared for by my mother and sister and home health care this summer. Next month he will be back in the nursing home in Edgerton. I can't wait to see him. They have called and said he wants to talk to me. We've tried to talk on the phone, but it is really difficult for him to talk on the phone. Someone has to help him hold it to his ear and he doesn't want the help. He'll be 84 tomorrow. Thirty years older than me. It makes me wonder how I'll be in 20 to 30 years and if I'll handle things a well he does. He hasn't nor do I think he will give up. If I end up that way I may.

The Edgerton Experience
My daughter just moved to Decatur, Ga., near Atlanta. I flew to Colorado and helped her drive her car and trasport her cat there. We had a great time and the cat behaved much better than I expected. I stayed three days and flew home on the 4th of July.
I'm back home now somehow wishing I was still there. It seems when your children are growing up you wonder if they'll ever become adults and move out. Then a couple years after that happens, you realize that you love them more than you can describe in words. I wish I knew this when they were 14.

We are going to West Virginia this weekend to my wife's family reunion. Helvetia West Virginia is a very small Swiss comunity in the remote hills of West Virginia. Her mothers family came from there. The people are as kind and nice as anywhere I've been. I've always been treated good and alwaus feel accepted and loved when I visit. Can't wait!

Today I thought I was having a heart attack. I had a tight chest, couldn't get a full breath, had a head ache and my arms felt weak. I had my wife drive me to the redi-med. They checked me out and said my heart was o.k. My blood pressure was 171/114! Pretty high. I came down after the nitro tab. Never been so scared.
